Granted, a lot of those were not humans (bots, you know who you are), but that will make a good topic for another post – how to make sure your new friend is, well, a living and breathing human. With Facebook now attracting more visitors than Google.com, social networks are the biggest free dating sites around. However, there are lots of tricks, techniques and work that go into finding, friending, messaging, meeting and finally dating someone. Sooo…it’s not really free but using a social network to meet singles will save you cash.

This blog site is dedicated to helping people use social networks to meet new people. Simple enough, right? Well, the tricky part is that social networks are generally not built with this purpose in mind. That affects everything you do on a social network to meet someone new whether it’s searching for potential friends, messaging, etiquette, gauging reputation and a lot more.

We’ll also be looking at specific social networks and seeing how well each site works for meeting other singles. Another thing we’ll be doing is publishing guides and cheat sheets to setting up dates on specific social networks.

I’m sure there will be topics we come up with, and that our readers suggest, beyond even these. There is a lot to write about here! Thanks for your patience and we’ll be having new posts weekly, if not more often.
